Mechanical Watches

Mechanical watches are watches that do not rely on the power supply of the battery and instead rely on user input to create energy. The old style of mechanical watches were powered by the winding of a stem that built up energy that was slowly released over the course of a day. Now the technology has advanced to move towards automatic watches. These watches are powered by movement, meaning that they do not need to be wound every day in order to continue to function. Automatic watches just need to be worn to keep them going. In most cases automatic technology has replaced the original mechanical technology, except in some of our pocket watches.
