Sekonda’s Seksy Curve watches are sponsoring the Carpenters Extravaganza ‘We’ve Only Just Begun’. This unique event which will be televised on Wednesday the 18th of November is a musical tribute to the life and works of the Carpenters. The show brings together some of the top British music performers to celebrate the life and works of this popular American music duo.
The Carpenters have sold over 100 million records since they formed in the 1970’s. The duo were Richard and Karen Carpenter, siblings from Connecticut in the United States. Their music is characterised by a soft melodic sound which has drawn fans to them in their millions. Their music still sells today and they are greatly respected artists in the music industry.
The show is going to be presented by Ronan Keating and Amanda Holden, both huge fans of the Carpenters. Ronan, The Saturdays and The Feeling will all be performing on the night and they will be joined by a few surprise guests as well…
Each performance will be preceded by a training video, showing Richard Carpenter coaching the bands on the songs that they will sing; showing them that the Carpenters music is not easy to reproduce. This will be an exciting night for musicians (as well as fans!) as they will get an opportunity to show how much an influence the Carpenters have been on modern music.
