Tissot Watches – Tissot ‘Innovators by Tradition’

Tissot are a premier Swiss watch company that was formed in 1853. One of their more recent innovations is the touch screen watch. Tissot have developed a range of T-Touch watches which can be used for a number of different sporting activities as well as looking good. The T Touch range has a tactile sapphire crystal glass that is activated by a button on the case. The technology is reactive and intuitive. Any T-Touch Tissot watch will provide data on the altitude, meteorological changes, compass, thermometer and normal chronograph functions. The compass directs to magnetic north but can be calibrated to point to geographical north with some additional information. This technology is unique to Tissot watches and is an impressive example of their constant innovation.

Tissot are well known for their range of Tissot ladies watches and Tissot gents watches, both dress watches and sports watches are included in their comprehensive catalogue. They are finished to an excellent standard and combine the best of both traditional and contemporary design. Tissot are based in Le Locle in Switzerland and have been since their inception. They are now a thriving part of the Swatch group.

Tissot sponsor many different sporting events including Nascar racing since 2006 and the World Ice Hockey championships since 1996. Ice Hockey is a major sport in Switzerland and Tissot have made every effort to sponsor the sport in their home country; they are the premier sponsors of the Swiss national Ice Hockey team. They also sponsor the MotoGP and are the main sponsors of a range of other sporting events.
