Tonight the 5^th episode of ITV show ‘River Monsters’ is to be aired. The Sekonda Sports Chrono is sponsoring River Monsters which is on tonight at 7.30 on ITV1.

This episode was filmed in the Alaskan wilderness. Extreme angler Jeremy Wade travelled to Alaska in search of a lethal monster that is said to drag people down to an icy grave in two deep lakes.

This episode traces the progress of Jeremy as he tackles sub arctic fishing for the first time. He achieves success when he lands his largest catch to date whilst pursuing the killer beast. He finds a white sturgeon in the Arctic, a fish that could have starred in Jurassic Park. It has been in existence for over 100 million years and is one of the only creatures to have a notocord, a precursor to the backbone. It is one of only two creatures that are known to have this kind of atavistic formation.

It lacks teeth and has bad eyesight, it uses its developed sense of smell to survive in its murky underwater environment. They have been known to live for over 100 years, weigh over 1800 pounds and measure 20 feet.

Previous episodes have seen him travel to the corners of the world in search of the most dangerous fish, many of whom live in inhospitable conditions. The fish that lurk in oceans and rivers are some of the most unusual creatures on earth.

Tonight on ITV1 a documentary revealing the story of Take That’s reunion is to be broadcast. Take That have been grabbing headlines all year thanks to massive record sales and persistent rumours about Robbie Williams re joining the band and then of course the announement that this had happened.

Dermot O’Leary hosts the show, he meets with Sir Paul McCartney to talk about the making of the 1973 classic Wings album Band on the Run.  The creation of this landmark album was not plain sailing.  When Sir Paul flew out to Lagos, Nigeria to record the album two of his band members had just resigned.  More surprises were in store, arriving at the studio he found that it was only half finished and no part was ready for the band to perform.   McCartney was mugged soon after, losing all of his demo tapes and almost his life.

The creation of this album did not end in the chaos that it started in.  Paul McCartney alongside band members Denny Laine and his then wife Linda McCartney went on to record one of the most prominent albums of the decade.  Many of the singles became hit singles and the album itself was awarded a Grammy.

The program also hears from other key players in the creation of the album. It will include stories about the shooting of the iconic album cover which featured many stars of the day including boxer John Conteh and entertainer Kenny Lynch.

Susan Boyle is still a star, a year after her debut on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ she is still making headlines. ITV are doing a re run of her special show ‘I dreamed a dream’ named after the song that she sung on the talent competition.
