Rotary Aquaspeed Watches & the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race
A new range of watches are now on the wrists of some of the most intrepid explorers in the world. Rotary Aquaspeed watches are designed to be able to perform in difficult conditions, they are all marked with the Rotary waterproof standard, allowing you to swim and dive all day.
The watches merge contemporary design with the high build quality and practicality necessary for adventures. Most of the watches have classic divers features such as rotating bezels, luminescent hour markers and hands and rubber straps or stainless steel bracelets.
The range has gained a lot of exposure via their connection to the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race, a 40,000 mile race that circumnavigates the globe. The current race started in August 2011 and will finish in July 2012. A boat can sign up for one of the eight legs or the whole circumnavigation. 13 countries, 16 ports, 15 races during 8 legs, 230 different professions and 40 nationalities all combine to create the most epic sea race held.
Rotary Aquaspeed watches are designed with the ethos of ‘expanding your horizons’ and trying something new. The novice sailors in the Clipper Round the World race are definitely achieving that by testing themselves to the limit. Rotary have chosen two ambassadors, each who are wearing an Aquaspeed watch on their journeys around the world, whilst reporting back to Rotary on the events in the race.
Rotary have set themselves apart from other watch manufacturers by their focus on creating dress watches for both men and women that are suitable for use in water sports. Aquaspeed watches are the pinacle of their dedication to watersports but all of the new collections come under the ’swim and dive all day’ motto, providing people with watches that look sophisticated and are able to be worn in the water without any concern.
